A hand-coloured print presenting a panoramic view (on two sheets) of the procession following the election of Benjamin Walsh at the uncontested by-election for Wootton Bassett in February 1808. The scene shows not only 'nearly the whole of the Electors' but also a wide variety of non-voting electoral participants and items of electoral culture such as flags and cockades. The print has the following inscription: 'To the Worthy & Independent Electors, This Print is inscribed in grateful recollection of so unexampled a mark of their Attachment & Zeal by their faithful Representative and devoted Servt. B Walsh'.
