Printed address in which incumbent Bedfordshire MP, Francis Russell, Marquess of Tavistock, declares his 'attempt, to bring about an important reform in the mode of electing...Representatives', by not spending money, or canvassing the county, to secure his return for Bedfordshire at the next election. Tavistock's attempted reform met with strong opposition. He was ultimately returned, in second place.
