A response to Lord Tavistock's declared 'attempt, to bring about an important reform in the mode of electing ... Representatives', by not spending any money, or canvassing the county, to secure his return for Bedfordshire in 1826. Referring to Tavistock's support for not giving 'any Meat or Drink to any Elector whatsoever', the address satirically registers the opposition of 'A Thirsty Freeholder' who encourages those 'unable to obtain the Refreshment that Nature requires after a fatiguing Journey' to 'attend at the Hustings' and make their feelings towards 'Lord Tavistock and his Family' clear.
